Prov 3:9-10 AMP
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your crops (income); Then your barns will be abundantly filled and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Malachi 3:10 instructs us to bring all the tithe (the whole 10%) into the storehouse, depository or treasury of our local church. As we cheerfully obey God, He is able to open the windows of heaven, pour out the blessing and rebuke the devourer for us. This produces protection over us and our stuff and the blessing on our seed sown – the offerings, gifts and love that we give to others.
God is the One who gives the increase of our seed sown and enables the Rate of Return and Return on Investment to be multiplied 30, 60, 100 fold and more. 1 Cor 3:6-7, Mark 4:20
Mark 4:29 tells us when the seed has been sown it grows and God increases it and when it is ripe, when it is harvest time we my put in the sickle and reap our harvest. God doesn’t reap our harvest – He increases it but we must reap our harvest from our seed sown.
We reap our harvest by the words of our mouth. We believe we receive and we have – Mark 11:24. The Word receive in that verse can also be translated as – to take, get hold of, seize, collect, claim, remove, to get possession of and to call.
In order for us to receive the harvest God has given us we must take or seize it. It won’t just fall on us like snow or rain.
We receive our harvest by faith
We receive and take what is ours with our mouth
We lay hold by speaking God’s Words with our mouth that we believe in our heart
We take it by calling and commanding what is ours to come to us
We seize what is ours by binding the devil and demanding he loose our stuff
We draw to us and possess our harvest and inheritance through praise and thanksgiving to God
